Workshop Description

III CODTHT – Communication and Digital Technology in Cultural Heritage and Tourism Workshop will be held in conjunction with the iSCSI – International Conference on Industry Sciences & Computer Sciences Innovation.

Papers accepted by the workshop will be published in Elsevier as a Procedia Computer Science series volume (which series are indexed by Scopus and Clarivate Conference Proceedings Citation Index – Web of Science (former ISI Thomson) and will be available on Sciverse ScienceDirect.

Moreover, the extended versions of all accepted papers will be invited to enhance their manuscripts for inclusion in a book of chapters or in a journal.
 
With tourism at the forefront of economic recovery in the post-pandemic period, the need to make known the best practices for disclosing tourism products is essential. The contribution of web technologies, online communication media, and social media is fundamental for the informative and advertising dispersion of products of a tourist nature, with emphasis on cultural heritage, wine tourism, nature tourism, gastronomic tourism, tourism of health, with a special focus on thermal-spa tourism and tourism promoted by the organization of events. It is urgent to reflect on the best practices of the tourist industries in promoting their products, as well as the fundamental role of national organizations in support of culture and tourism, without forgetting the dynamics developed by international organizations such as the World Tourism Organization, UNESCO or the ICOMOS, among others.
 
III COMDITHT aims to bring together researchers, hotel managers, entrepreneurs, tourism and heritage technicians from local, national, and international institutions, influencers, travel bloggers, and professionals from the audiovisual and graphic world, such as web designers, photographers, video producers, to reflect on the state of online tourism dissemination of cultural, natural and intangible heritage, the best practices currently in action and also visions, perspectives, and ideas to be projected in the near future.
